2009 was a phenomenal year for sample-based music. Looking at the list of U.S. number-one singles of 2009 to date, it’s astonishing to see that no less than 6 out of 13 are based on samples:
Crack a Bottle by Eminem, Dr. Dre and 50 Cent
Right Round by Flo Rida feat. Kesha
Poker Face by Lady Gaga
I Gotta Feeling by Black Eyed Peas
Whatcha Say by Jason Derulo
Empire State of Mind by Jay-Z feat. Alicia Keys
And that is only the tip of the iceberg – many of this year’s best-selling albums, and countless others, are heavily sample-based. We truly believe that the WhoSampled community is doing something important (and really fun!) by documenting, sharing and discussing all of this incredible activity, past and present.
We’ve quietly launched the site just over a year ago, and what a year it’s been! The database, which started with just a couple of hundred samples, has recently crossed the important 10,000 samples mark, and hundreds more are being added every week. It’s good timing to have a quick pause for breath and tell you a little bit more about what we’ve done so far.
We’ve been focusing hard on improving the moderation process to allow for all this incredible amount of contributions to be added efficiently to the database. We now have over 30 fantastic moderators from all over the world, who take care of processing everyone’s submissions – you can always see a list of our moderators on the About Us page
We’ve recently added cover songs to the site, and the response has been great – we already have thousands listed!
We added new buttons that allow you to easily share your finds on Facebook, Twitter and MySpace – you can find them on top of every sample, cover and artist page
We’ve added the option to browse the database by genre, meaning that if you only want to look at Hip-Hop or Electronic artists, you now can
We did a slight design facelift and added all sorts of small improvements across the site
For ongoing updates on what is happening on the site, make sure you become our fan on Facebook and follow us on Twitter. As always, we would be very happy to get your thoughts and suggestions on how we can improve, so please get in touch if you have any!
We’d like to thank all our moderators, contributors and visitors for making all of this happen. We all still have a lot to do of course, but we can definitely be proud of what we have achieved so far! Let’s tell the world about what we are doing, and spread the word!
50 Cent visited Shade 45 today (Nov. 28) to speak with Whoo Kid, Nelson (Gomez Bros.) & Reef about good reviews for Before I Self Destruct, the Beanie Sigel and Jay-Z beef, Eminem’s upcoming albums The Refill and Relapse 2, and more.
How did 50 Cent feel about Jay-Z’s comment at the American Music Awards? What did he think about Jennifer Lopez‘ fall during her AMA performance? Will 50 and Eminem be working together on a track again soon? Did Rick Ross’s people really try to contact 50’s ex? Why wasn’t 50 Cent at Diddy’s party? Do kids want 50 to grow up?
The Sun (always a reliable source) revealed today that Hip Hop mega-star Eminem wants to be a judge on the X Factor. He is quoted as saying:
“No disrespect to the current judges but you need people who are global, platinum-selling stars. You need to prepare contestants for what it’s really like out there, and what sort of pressure you are going to be under.”
“So much average talent comes out of these reality shows, it’s time to give people a chance who deserve it.
“A hip-hop star will never win a show like The X Factor without somebody like me on the panel.”
“There are a lot of very talented hip-hop stars who would kill for a break in Britain but the judges aren’t qualified in hip-hop.”I keep my eye on the urban scene in Britain and there is a lot of talent out there. It needs somebody in power to open a door for them.”
It’s great to see that Eminem is aware of the UK Urban Music scene to that extent and I personally think that Eminem would make a great X Factor judge - considering his scathing judgements on pop artists in the past, I think his comments would actually overshadow Simon Cowell’s. And if he was a judge on the show, at least Jedward would not have gotten away with those dreadful raps for so many weeks and Miss Frank might still be in the competition! Lets hope this one happens!

Guess Who… You Miss me?... Jessica Simpson sing the chorus
Jessica Simpson – (Eminem)
(CHORUS)
When you walked through the door
It was clear to me (clear to me)
You’re the one they adore, who they came to see (who they came to see)
You’re a … rockstar (baby)
Everybody wants you (everybody wants you)
Player… Who can really blame you (who can really blame you)
We're the ones who (chicka) made you *cough, cough*
(VERSE ONE)
Back by popular demand
Now pop a little zantack or ant'-acid if you can
You're ready to tackle any task that is at hand
How does it feel, is it fantastic, is it grand?
Well look at all the massive masses in the stands
Shady man… no don’t massacre the fans
Damn, I think Kim Kardashians a man
She stumped just cause he asked to put his hands
On her massive glutious maximus again
Squeeze it, then Squish it, then pass it to her friend
Can he come back as nasty as he can
Yes he can, can, don’t ask me this again
He does not mean to lesbian offend
But Lindsay please come back to seeing men
Samantha’s a 2, Youre practically a 10
I know you want me girl,
In fact I see your grin - now come in girl
(CHORUS)
When you walked through the door
It was clear to me (clear to me)
You’re the one they adore, who they came to see (who they came to see)
You’re a … rockstar (baby)
Everybody wants you (everybody wants you)
Player… Who can really blame you (who can really blame you)
We're the ones who made you
(VERSE TWO)
The enforcer, looking for more women to torture
Walk up to the cutest girl and Charlie Horse her
Sorry Portia, but whats Ellen Degeneres
Have that I don't, are you telling me tenderness?
Well I can be as gentle and as smooth as a gentleman
Give me my ventolin inhaler and 2 zenedrin
And I'll invite Sarah Palin out to dinner then
Nail her,'Baby say hello to my little friend' Brit forget K Fed lets cut off the middle man
Forget him or your gona end up in hospital again
And this time it wont be for the riddle and binge
Forget them other men, girl pay them little attention
A little bit did I mention, that Jennifer's in love with me John Mayer
So sit on the bench
Man I swear them other guys you give em an inch
They take a mile, they got style but it isn't Slim
(CHORUS)
When you walked through the door
It was clear to me (clear to me)
You’re the one they adore, who they came to see (who they came to see)
You’re a … rockstar (baby)
Everybody wants you (everybody wants you)
Player… Who can really blame you (who can really blame you)
Were the ones who made you
(VERSE THREE)
And that’s why… my love
You'll never live without ,
I know you want me girl cause I can see you checking me out
And baby, you know, you know you want me too
Don’t try to deny it baby, I’m the only one for you
(Fart)
Damn girl Im beginning to sprout an Alphalpha
Why should I wash my filthy mouth out
You think that’s bad you should hear the rest of my album
Never has there been so finesse and nostalgia
Man Cash,I don’t mean to mess up your gal but
Jessica Alba put a breast in my mouth but
Wowzers, I just made a mess of my trousers
And they wonder why I keep dressing like Elvis
Lord help us he's back in his pink Alf shirt
Looking like someone shrinked his outfit
I think hes about to flip
Jessica rest assure, Supermans here to rescue ya
Can you blame me?
You’re my Amy, im your Blake
Matter fact make me a birthday cake
With a saw blade in it to make my jail break
Baby, I think you just met your soul mate
(Now break it down girl)
(CHORUS)
When you walked through the door
It was clear to me (clear to me)
You’re the one they adore, who they came to see (who they came to see)
You’re a … rockstar (baby)
Everybody wants you (everybody wants you)
Player… Who can really blame you (who can really blame you)
Were the ones who made you
So baby, baby
Get down, down, down
Baby, get down, down down
Baby, get down, down down
Baby, get down, get down
Baby, get down, down down
Baby, get down, down down
Baby, get down, down down

If you are one of many people that have already purchased Relapse, this seems like a joke.
Nama gw yang tertulis di akte kelahiran sebenernya riza rizkiawati tapi nama beken (emang beken??sejak kapan?) gw izza mathers III (baca: iza meters the third). Gw pake nama ini resminya sejak kelas 1 SMA (emang gw dulu sekolah???) hehehe…disaat musik rap sedang naik daun (uleeet kaleee). Apakah hubungannya nama izza mathers sama musik rap???ouh..tentu saja berhubungan, erat malah saking eratnya sampe susah dipisahin kayak perangko ama amplop, kayak idung ama upil, kayak pisang ama monyet, kayak kutu ama rambut…kayak gitulah kira-kira. Mau tau siapa dia…(hey..hey siapa dia..) yup he is Marshall Bruce Mathers III alias Eminem a.k.a Slim Shady. Mau tau kenapa gw pake nama dia…yah karena gw suka sama eminem donk kalau gw suka sama gogon nama famous jadi izza gogon donk hehehe.
Yes, friends, gather ’round, for it’s time to take a trip into my demented little brain and explore the motivation behind my latest 100% original track, “Bring Hell.”
Check it out:
Lyrics:
I’m kinda sick up in the head in case you can’t, tell
The things I say all indicate that I’ma need, help
Don’t try to stop or hold me back, I know y’all mean well,
But I’m here to bring hell, to bring hell, listen.
(Repeat)
I’ve got some stuff inside my brain that I’ve been dying to get out,
Sometimes I’m haunted by a demon up inside of my mouth
It makes me speak in tongues, I dunno what I’m talkin about
It makes me do, things at 4AM outside of your house
Like break and enter, find out where your children sleep,
And while they snore I’m pourin poison in the food that they eat
And before they die, they’ll learn about the way they were born,
I took their Disney DVDs and switched them out with your (porn),
Now take it back for a second, cuz I’m an addict I reckon,
To sayin things that piss you off and wanna get me, I’m beggin
Cuz more and more I’m gettin kinda reckless how I’m steppin
All the kids that beat me up, before I die I swear I’ll get em,
And it’s back to the basics, and I’m glad that you made it,
You’re just in time to see why we’re all so hated,
And by we of course I’m talking bout the kids like me,
The ones they always bullied, now they’re gettin pissed like me, because,
(Chorus)
I’m not unstable, but sometimes I act a little panicky
A mini Tyler Durden is in me, well actually,
It’s me, it’s me, it’s me! My name is Timmy wait a bit though,
Is there a possibility I’m going crazy schizo?!
Balloons are in the air and all the birds are going psycho
A man with three nipples blowing kisses at the sideshow
And if I’m crazy off to Lalalaland, here watch when I go,
And don’t you try to follow or I’ll make sure that you die slow
A razor in your nostril, I ain’t talkin bout the cell phone,
Push it deep and make you scream so loud they hear you yell, homes,
Sometimes I go quick and then sometimes I spit it slow, folks,
Reliable factors to take in account when you judge the insanity shown, so,
Don’t take this wrong, yo, but I’m kinda sad though,
I’m outta speed and lost my mind can’t bring me back, yo,
But what’s remainin in my blood makes me delirious
So I dedicate this song to all of you that take me serious-ly, hah!
(Chorus 2x)
While I normally deliver my raps as fast as I humanly can, this track took inspiration from a lot of different sources.
It’s fun every now and again to just relax and spit nice and slow, and focus on the content. Eminem was a huge influence in this song, and I put my own twist on his exaggerating style to create the sound you hear. After I finished writing the song and recording it, I noticed that the second verse also unintentionally bears some resemblance to Em’s delivery in ‘I’m Having a Relapse’.
Making the beat was lots of fun too.
When I name my beats, I usually write the first thing that comes to my mind. If you listen, you’ll hear a really maniacal ’saw’ synth sound that makes up part of the chorus. I happened to name this particular beat ’sawyourheadoff’ and the lyrics came naturally after that.
I really enjoyed making this song. Much in the way that blowing people up in video games relieves stress, writing twisted evil lyrics does the same for me.

Thanks y’all! Comment away, and as always, stay beautiful.
Lou Barlow – Bulletproof (La Roux)
Datarock – Give It Up (Chateau Marmont Remix) ♥♥
Jeffrey Lewis & Laura Marling – Brain Damage (Eminem)
LCD Soundsystem – Bye Bye Bayou (Alan Vega)
Girls With Moustaches - Moonchild(Born to Weed) ♥♥♥♥
Robbie Williams - Do You Mind? ♥
Crookers – Candy Candy (Feat. Teki Latex & BIG-O)
Good Shoes – Wrong And Right
Arctic Monkeys – Balaclava
Fight Back The Heart Attack – Fight Back The Heart Attack ♥♥♥
About it.
Ps : Under Control
OH OUI OH OUI!
Similar to Eminem was in on the whole Sacha Baron Cohen butt-in-the-face mess stunt and Balloon Boy flying across America. It’s been rumor since Kanye West snatch the mic from Taylor Swift, that it was a Hoax .
According to the source the exchange was arranged at Jay-Z request. MTV execs reportedly asked Hov to perform at the awards show, and he said only if his lady, Beyonce, was made to look good in the viewers eyes and was given a performance of her own.
A Jay-Z staffer stated:
This was all a huge publicity stunt set up by Jay-Z. MTV wanted him to perform at the end of the show and he said on one condition – they gave Beyonce a performance and made her look good. And so, the whole Taylor Swift fiasco was born. Jay called up Kanye and asked him to do it for him because Kanye doesn’t mind being seen as a jackass and it’d be believable if he did it. So when Beyonce let Taylor finish her speech instead of making her own speech, everyone thought “Wow, Beyonce really is a class act!” and Jay-Z finished off the show with his performance.
It’s old hat by now, but we’ve did our research and discovery some really fishy mess.
And what a coincidence that both Kanye West and Taylor Swift share the same talent agent, hmmmmm.
